The department aims to develop students' constructive and creative skills, advance their ability to interpret objects and their relationships with other objects and more significantly enable them to gain the power of intuition - which is the basis of creativity. The programs give students artistic trainings that enable them to obtain the necessary artistic culture through disciplined observations and make them comprehend the nature of art and the logic of visual thinking.  

Graduates of the department can work as art directors, art consultants, etc. in various fields as freelance artists. They can work in various positions in educational institutions as well as in various fields. In addition, it offers wide opportunities to graduates of the painting department through galleries and other art institutions in the art environment in Turkey and in all over the world.
